The last week of January is dedicated to the celebration of Catholic Schools throughout the United States in recognition of the positive impact that Catholic School system has on society as a whole.
At Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School in Temecula, the school community came together for several events. The week began with a family Mass on Saturday evening in the school theater, followed by a complementary Italian dinner. This prepared everyone for the exciting yearly 5k Nun Run the following morning.
Activities throughout the week were held around the theme GLOW, God Lights Our Way.
Students from different grade levels paired up to participate in buddy crafts and collaborative experiences. A basket of cookies, accompanied by thank you letters, were delivered to various service organizations throughout the city: parishes, police, fire department, city council, etc. Talents were highlighted in the annual Talent Show. The week concluded with a family picnic lunch provided by Chick-fil-A in the beautiful school courtyard.
It was truly a week of GLOW, recognizing that God Lights Our Way.
