Spanish Exchange II

Delegación territorial de Inglaterra

Two groups of Year 9 and 10 students from Notre Dame along with Halliford School travelled to our Spanish exchange homes in San Fernando (which is located in the south of Spain near Seville). They spent one week immersed in Spanish culture using their Spanish language abilities to communicate. During their stay they went on a number of excursions exploring the town and nearby areas. This included Flamenco dancing, travelling to Cadiz and Jerez for a day, shopping in local malls, and watching a traditional horse show. They went to city hall meeting the Mayor of San Fernando, going to museums and more. Their trip was packed with lots of fun filled activities which educated them about Spanish traditions and its historic landmarks.  In the evenings they spent time conversing with their exchanges and their families.

The Spanish families were very kind and the hospitality was incredibly warm. Over the weekend they went out with their host families on their own specially planned activities.  Overall, the experience was brilliant and an excellent way to improve their Spanish skills.
